Old Volcano Road Walking Tour
Join our guided walk along Old Volcano Road. Learn about the natural environment and historic homes, businesses, and people who have made up the heart of Volcano Village for more than 100 years. The tours are offered on the last Sunday of every month beginning at Volcano Art Centerʻs Niʻaulani campus.
Kapāpala Ranch Tour
Join our special guided tour with lunch of Kapāpala Ranch exploring an area of the ranch not visited on previous tours. This tour is a rare opportunity to experience a historically significant landscape within the storied Kapāpala Ranch property.
In addition to traveling through scenic ranch lands, the tour will focus on the moʻolelo of Kamehameha and Keōua, including the history and significance of the Battle of the Bitter Rain. Participants will travel up ʻĀinapō Road and visit historic caves.
A 4WD vehicle is required for this tour. We may be able to accommodate a limited number of participants who do not have 4WD. Participants are strongly encouraged to secure their own transportation.Prior to the tour, we will notify all ticket holders about the meeting location and additional info.
